Chakras

Mantra: Lam, Vam, Ram, Yam, Ham, Om

Affirmation: I harmonize my chakras

Meaning:

  • Lam (1st chakra, root chakra)
  • Vam (2nd chakra, sacral chakra)
  • Ram (3rd chakra, solar plexus chakra)
  • Yam (4th chakra, heart chakra)
  • Ham (5th chakra, throat chakra)
  • Om (6th and 7th chakras, third eye and crown chakra)

This mantra is used to cleanse, balance, and harmonize each of the chakras, leading to improved overall well-being and spiritual alignment.

Mudra: Chakra Mudra

Formation of the Mudra: Make a triangle with your thumbs and index fingers, the other fingers open and extended. Start at the root chakra with the tip pointing down. At the heart level, the triangle rotates upwards. With the Om, you create a circle around you as protection.

Meditation: Focus on each chakra and, while chanting each sound, make a visualization that corresponds to the specific chakra.

While chanting "Lam", visualize roots growing from your base into the earth. While chanting "Vam", visualize a source of vitality in your belly. While chanting "Ram", experience the warmth and power of the sun at the solar plexus level above the navel. While chanting "Yam", experience the lightness and space in your heart, allowing love to flow. While chanting "Ham", bring the clarity of a crystal into your expression, allowing you to be heard and seen in your essence. While chanting "Om", experience inner wisdom through concentration between the eyebrows.

Applications:

  1. For balancing chakras: Chant the sounds of the chakras in combination with the mudra. Visualize the colors associated with the chakras. Tune into each quality of the chakras.
  2. For overall well-being: This mantra and mudra are effective for promoting physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Inspiration

Chakras are spinning wheels or energy gateways that run along the spine. We have seven basic chakras, each with its own color, function, and meaning.

The colors of the chakras

  • Root chakra: Red - Grounding, security, and basic trust
  • Sacral chakra: Orange - Creativity, sexuality, and emotions
  • Solar plexus chakra: Yellow - Self-confidence, power, and vitality
  • Heart chakra: Green - Love, compassion, and empathy
  • Throat chakra: Blue - Communication, expression, and truth
  • Third eye chakra: Indigo - Intuition, wisdom, and insight
  • Crown chakra: Violet - Spiritual connection, enlightenment, and unity

The functions of the chakras

  • Each chakra is connected to certain organs, glands, and emotions. If a chakra is blocked, it can lead to physical or emotional problems.
  • Chakras can be influenced by our thoughts, feelings, and experiences. By working with our chakras, we can balance ourselves on all levels - physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.

Explanation of the movement

With the Chakra Mudra (or Diamond Mudra), I connect the different energy centers together. The fingers point upwards at the level of the heart. Make a large protective circle around you in which you bring unity within yourself. Align the chakras while chanting in this mudra flow. Feel how your colors intensify and your energy expands with each circle you make. You are building an inner and outer force field.

Lam, Vam, Ram, Yam, Ham, Om

I harmonize the energy centers in my body.
