Mudra: Shiva Mudra

Formation of the Mudra: Raise one hand as a creative force with the fingers joined in Pathaka. Lower the other hand relaxed in Dhoola, which means destruction. This represents transformation. The energy you no longer need is destroyed.

Effects of the Mudra: The Shiva Mudra is known for promoting clarity, concentration, and energy balance. It is associated with inner strength.

Begin in a standing position with the Shiva Mudra. Inhale deeply and raise your arms above your head, palms facing the ceiling. As you exhale, gently lower your arms and bend forward, as if releasing everything you no longer need. Slowly come back up as you inhale, and repeat this movement with the intention of letting go and renewing.

Applications:

During periods of personal change, this mudra helps to transform.

For letting go of negative habits or thoughts: this combination supports the process of letting go of what no longer serves you.

When seeking renewal and growth.

Inspiration:

Renewal is progress. Free yourself from burdens, limiting thoughts, relationships, and possessions that you no longer need. Your energy becomes lighter. You vibrate from your essence. Live your inner passion and drive from your soul. Your essence radiates like the sun and provides total fulfillment. Om Namah Shivaya.

Explanation of the movement

From a concentrated force (fists), you make a downward movement with momentum towards Pataka. The movement has determination and firmness, necessary to let go. Experience this as a detachment from old patterns that no longer serve you. You show Lord Shiva with the hands Pataka and Dhoola creation and destruction. The bent leg in the air signifies that he is the dancer of the universe. You greet him with respect and recognition for his power, which you invoke to help you transform.
